Virtual Research Rochester Days
These open houses for prospective students are your ideal opportunity to get an inside look at the University of Rochester.
- Learn about the admissions process. Get an overview on our application process and financial aid and merit opportunities, with plenty of time for Q&A.
- Experience Rochester. Discover the curriculum, research opportunities, and what makes Rochester unique.
- Interact with our students. Current students will show you key landmarks on the River Campus while sharing personal anecdotes and answering questions along the way.

What to expect
Our virtual open houses provide you with a more in-depth learning opportunity. The sessions on each day are hosted on a continuous Zoom webinar, with breaks between each session and the ability to “come and go” depending on your interest(s).
You will also have the opportunity to get questions answered by current Rochester students as well as admissions and financial aid counselors.
|40 minutes||Welcome and University overview
Robert Alexander, dean of admissions, financial aid, and enrollment management, will welcome attendees to our virtual Research Rochester and provide an overview of what makes the Rochester experience special. Learn about our unique Rochester Curriculum, undergraduate research and experiential learning opportunities, and global campus environment. Additionally, hear about how the University of Rochester has navigated the COVID-19 pandemic.
|75 minutes||Reporting live from campus: Rochester students
Current Rochester students will speak from locations on campus, showcasing a dining hall, the campus center, library, gym, and a residence hall room. The session will then transition to an interactive, moderated panel with time for questions and answers.

With the University of Rochester’s Pre-College Programs you get to explore the Rochester curriculum, broaden your educational experience, sharpen your academic skills, and learn more about who you want to become. Join our team for a presentation about our summer opportunities and how they can prepare you to apply for undergraduate admissions.
