REMS Interview Program

The University of Rochester REMS Interview Program is being held on February 16– 17, 2023.

This is an invite-only program.

The interview is a mandatory part of the selection process. Unfortunately, there are no alternative days for the interviews.

What to expect

You will have the opportunity to hear from students, faculty, and staff from the Office of Admissions and the School of Medicine and Dentistry throughout the event. The goal of these activities is to provide you with a deeper understanding of the REMS Program and provide a space to ask questions. The activities on Thursday, February 16, will take place from 4:00-7:30 p.m. ET.

On Friday, February 17, you will also interview with representatives from the River Campus and the School of Medicine and Dentistry.

For those arriving earlier in the day:

  • Have lunch on campus
  • Go on a campus tour at 2:15 pm
  • Chat with Dr. G. Edward Vates, Professor of Neurosurgery and Director of the REMS Program, and Dr. Christine Hay, Associate Dean for Admissions and Professor of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases
4:00 p.m.  Meet your host – Wallis Hall, Admissions Conference Room

9:15 – 11:45 a.m. Round 1 interviews and group interviews             

 

 

12:00 – 1:50 p.m. Lunch – Overview of REMS program, REMS student panel,

and faculty panel – Class of ’62 Auditorium

 

 

2:15 – 4:00 p.m. Round 2 interviews, group interviews   
4: 15 p.m. Board bus to return to River Campus
 
4:30 – 8: 00 p.m. Dinner with host and free time

  • Shuttle to Eastman School/Java’s Café
  • Shuttle to College Town
  • Go to library, I-Zone, or Goergen Athletic Center
  • Relax in your room
  • Hang out with current REMS students at Starbucks
