Know your admission status and financial aid information sooner by applying earlier.
If URochester is your top choice, why wait to apply? ED I applicants hear back by mid-December. ED II applicants hear back by early February.
Applying early gives you the opportunity for priority choice of housing assignment and move-in date, and the potential to register for classes sooner.
When your college decision is set, you can enjoy the rest of your senior year without stress or uncertainty.
When I knew URochester was the right fit for me, applying Early Decision just made sense. I heard back in December, and it was such a relief to know where I was headed sooner. Instead of waiting and wondering, I got to actually enjoy senior year and just be excited for what was next.

ED II gives you a little more time while still getting your admission decision earlier than regular decision.
