I love winter. I love snow. I can usually handle cold weather, but lately it’s been pretty darn cold in Rochester. For example, there’s days like this:
Of course, with this weather comes certain distinctions. The University of Rochester was recently ranked the 3rd snowiest school in the nation. What does that mean? Well, it means you’ll probably never get a snow day again, but you’ll get plenty of snowy days. My suggestion is to invest in a pair of boots and a sled and to get excited, because you’re not a Rochester student until you sled down the hill behind Sue B.
Also, take comfort in the fact that the City of Rochester’s excellent snow and ice control efforts ensure safe driving during the winter months. This is why the University almost never has to close down as a result of winter weather.
Does the word “snow” not give you the warm fuzzies inside? No fear, the University of Rochester has a wonderful (and warm) tunnel system on campus that can get you from one building to another quickly and warmly.
