On campus, I’m involved in everything from student theatre to the Campus Times and WRUR, our campus radio station, where I am internal general manager. When I’m not on the air or at a rehearsal, I can usually be found studying in Rush Rhees, making a video on campus, or hanging out with friends at the Pit.

Born and raised in Manhattan but as of last year I moved to the Bronx. Still getting used to the difference. My favorite color is orange, despite all the black clothes I wear. My favorite sport is rugby, I played rugby throughout middle school and high school. I love watching anime and playing video games in my free time. Hi, my name is Hannah Smith! I am originally from Northern Virginia, just outside Washington, D.C. I am a current sophomore double majoring in English: Language, Media, & Communications and German Studies. On campus, I am a member of the sorority Alpha Phi, developed and anchor a sports-reporting web-series called “UR Sports Zone” in affiliation with URTV, and I’m a member of the Chamber Singers. Hello, my name is Afroza. My ethnic roots lie in Bangladesh; however, I grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for the majority of my childhood. My family and I moved to Buffalo, NY in 2018. I am a part of the class of 2026 cohort and majoring in Public Health, under the Health, Behavior and Society focus. I am on the executive board for the Muslim Student Association (MSA) of the University of Rochester, founder of the U of R MSA Firdaws Circle for Sisters, as well as a general member of the Creative Arts Club (CAC), Association for the Development of Interest in the Indian Subcontinent (ADITI), Bangla Bhasha, and Minority Association for Pre-Medical Students (MAPS). In my free time, I paint, read, journal, or just take a moment to be thankful to Allah and to simply talk to Him.
