My name is Ariel Greenberg and I am a senior from just north of Boston, Massachusetts. I am majoring in Language Media Communication with minors in Political Science and Spanish language. Outside of the classroom I am involved with Ballet Performance Group, Greek Life, Medallion Leadership Society, and I am a Student Alumni Ambassador (SAA). I also do humanities research with the Meliora Scholars program and with the Susan B Anthony Center on campus. Most recently, I was a study abroad participant in Spain. My favorite color is orange, despite all the black clothes I wear. My favorite sport is rugby, I played rugby throughout middle school and high school. Hi, my name is Hannah Smith! I am originally from Northern Virginia, just outside Washington, D.C., and I’m currently a junior majoring in English: Language, Media, & Communication with a minor in Digital Media Studies. On campus, I created and anchored “UR Sports Zone,” a sports-reporting web series with URTV, where I combined my love of athletics with my passion for storytelling. I also take voice lessons at the Eastman School of Music, and recently completed a semester-long newsroom internship at WXXI Public Broadcasting Council. Beyond academics, I love running, photography, and exploring new restaurants with friends. I’m passionate about sharing stories that bring people together and excited to keep growing as a communicator and creator!

Hello, my name is Afroza. My ethnic roots lie in Bangladesh; however, I grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for the majority of my childhood. My family and I moved to Buffalo, NY in 2018. I am a part of the class of 2026 cohort and majoring in Public Health, under the Health, Behavior and Society focus. I am on the executive board for the Muslim Student Association (MSA) of the University of Rochester, founder of the U of R MSA Firdaws Circle for Sisters, as well as a general member of the Creative Arts Club (CAC), Association for the Development of Interest in the Indian Subcontinent (ADITI), Bangla Bhasha, and Minority Association for Pre-Medical Students (MAPS). In my free time, I paint, read, journal, or just take a moment to be thankful to Allah and to simply talk to Him.
