I didn't want to invest in a costume that I'm never going to wear again, so I decided to get a kigurumi.
A kigurumi is a Japanese term for a costume that usually represents cartoon/anime characters, particularly cute animals. They come in many forms, but the oversized pajama form with a hood is the most popular one.
It's made out of fleece, so it's super comfortable! Since the weather is getting chilly, I was planning on getting a robe to wear in the house anyway. My neighbors and the mailman will probably get thrown off guard when they see some kangaroo taking out the trash. . . .

Over the weekend, my housemates and I went to Sam's Club and got bulk bags of candy. One of them caught me stealing some after we got home. . . .
"Those are for the kids!"
Oops . . .
We live right across from the Medical Center, so our neighbors are usually doctors or PhD students with kids.
I realize that I'm old(?) now since I'm the one giving out candy.
Our first trick or treater: A chubby 3-feet-tall Superman . . . So cute!
I wore my costume and one kid called me Winnie the Pooh.

Studying in the living room while waiting for the kids.
Happy Halloween!
