GradPartiesGradPartiesGradParties!!

So, summer is already more than half over, but there is still so much going on until we leave for college! One of the biggest things is none other than graduation parties. We have all gone to them since freshman year, maybe earlier for some, but now, it is our best friends and ourselves having them, not older kids. I think it is so weird how just last year I would attend grad parties for that year’s graduates, but now, I am one of them. My party hasn’t happened yet, but it is coming up! I am excited for it. From all the ones I have gone to, it is always a great time seeing friends again, and it is an excuse to see everyone again, not just the random hangouts I have with my closest friends. Games are a must, and whether someone has volleyball, soccer, or KanJam, it is always a blast.

Side note: I hope everyone knows what KanJam is. It is probably the best game that I have ever played. I really hope someone loves it enough to bring it to college so we can all play in the courtyards and such on campus!

There have been so many graduation parties among my friends that I disappointedly haven’t been able to attend all of them. Between working almost every day, having the parties spread out all over Rochester, and trying to show up at four parties in one day, I just couldn’t. But I try my hardest to go to as many as I can! On the day of my own party, two other friends that I am close with are having their parties, and I obviously can’t go to theirs. But having 333 kids in your graduating class means parties are bound to overlap, multiple times.

I also know I have family from all over, friends of my family, and even people that I have never actually met in person coming to my party. It is going to be a crazy day for me. My extended family is just so huge and spread out, and my mother has made so many friends that all know about me, even though I have no idea who they are. That is always the worst for me, by the way: when someone knows me and I don’t know or can’t remember who they are. Nonetheless! It will be a great day, and exciting.

I’m sure everyone else’s graduation parties will be amazing too, whether they have happened already or not. I’m also sure everyone’s summers have been crazy busy with all the parties going on. It is really the hot topic of summer for graduated seniors and their families! Just think: A graduation party is one of the last huge landmarks before college. And it’s usually when you get your money and things for college, so I hope everyone is super pumped! It is coming up so fast!
