Fun. Comes to Rochester Once Again!!

Who says there is nothing to do off campus in Rochester? Being a local Rochesterian, I can tell you that there are plenty of activities going on all the time off campus. A lot of really cool things, too.

Water Street Music Hall is pretty famous around here for hosting local bands and performances weekly for anyone to come see. Well, they also get the privilege of getting the bigger bands in the nation as well. For example, on April 20, 2012, I saw the band Fun. for the third time in my life. The first two times they were growing in the media, but if anyone listens to top-40 radio, you will hear them on it these days. Does "We Are Young" sound familiar? Well, Fun. has grown to be one of my favorite bands in the past couple of years, and now that they are this big, I got really lucky to be able to see them again. Their performances are amazing. They are charismatic, seemingly flawless, and they really know how to get the crowd going. Also, their music is so catchy and great. The day their newest album, Some Nights, came out, I made sure to get it. The concert I saw was indescribable by words, but I have a few pictures to show you guys:

The lighting in the house was awesome, and the turnout was huge, since the hall was sold out. It got so hot, but I didn't even care. The band always says that Rochester is their favorite place to perform, and unlike other bands that say that about every city, Fun. means it. Every time they go on tour, they make sure to come to Rochester, so as soon as their next tour is announced, the tickets will be in my hand!

So, even though you could stay on campus all the time and always find something to do, it is still nice to go out in the city and see what Rochester has to offer. I love my city, and I love all that there is to do here!
