Last summer, the University hosted over 300 high school students from 24 states and 10 countries for our Pre-College Programs. Participants took advantage of numerous academic options while experiencing college life on campus in our residence halls. We were excited to have so many join us for the launch of our new three-week intensive programs in engineering and film. Others opted to take a course for college credit, while some explored a study-abroad adventure through our Malawi and Samoa Seminars.
Summer 2014 is sure to be just as stimulating with an array of new offerings through Rochester Scholars in areas such as:
- Introduction to Chemical Engineering
- Dystopia: Literature and Film
- Pathogens, Protection, and Pandemics
- Backstage World: Light, Sound, and Scenery
- Francophone Culture and French Language
- Teaching is Universal!
- An Introduction to Postmodern Art
- Eastman Classic Rock Workshop
- Plus more!
In the coming months, keep an eye out for blogs written by Pre-College faculty introducing you to these new offerings.
Consider spending part of your summer in Rochester, where we hope to see you on campus … a little earlier than usual!
