I can’t believe the summer is already gone, but I’m excited to have moved into Gale (one of the upperclassmen dorms on campus) with five of my closest friends on campus. I’m living with the same girls I roomed with during my sophomore year. Our dorm for our junior year is a suite in Gale with six single rooms, a common room, bathroom, and kitchen. We also have a little balcony and our beds are lofted! It is our first time to have our own kitchen and balcony, so we are looking forward to cooking together and furnishing our balcony with plants.
Now that I’ve gotten the hang of college living, I’m hoping this will be my favorite dorm room yet. Here’s a random, unorganized list of things I brought with me to my new dorm room in Gale:
- My trusty microfridge
- Essential oil diffuser
- Shower basket
- Throw blanket
- Dish drying rack
- Gel pens
- Over-door hooks
- Cafetiere for coffee grounds & loose leaf tea
- Surge protector
- LED flameless candles
- Makeup mirror
- Laundry drying rack
- Mini speaker
- Cork board & push pins
- Weekly planner for 2017
- Bookends
- Commands hooks
- Fabric steamer
- Mini fan
- Lots of pillows
- Three reusable bottles: one for water, one for hot coffee/tea, one for iced coffee/tea
- Slippers
- Robe
- Rosie the Riveter poster
- Spikey, my little cactus
- Photos of friends and family!
What did you all bring with you to campus?
