Postmark January 1st

With the application deadline for the Fall 2011 semester fast approaching, our operations staff is preparing for the last wave of materials to be received. Over the past couple of weeks, the mailman has gone from delivering one bag of mail to two. Our fax machine goes off a bit more frequently these days and our admissions inbox is full. We are receiving your materials steadily – the transcripts, the recommendations, the essays, even the supplemental materials such as a CD, DVD, or photo bio. Our staff, which consists of three full time and nine part time employees, is working diligently to process all of these elements. But it does take time…

Currently, the processing time is 5–10 business days, but what does that mean? It means that once we get your materials (however you have sent them in) it will take between 5-10 business days for the materials to be completely processed. Once all of the required documents are in, our admissions counselors can begin reviewing your completed application. Our process includes opening/gathering the materials, sorting all of the materials, and then associating the materials to the appropriate students record. So how do you check to see if your materials have made it to us and have been associated? Check your status …

You can visit us online to check your status by logging into your MyROC account. If it’s been over 10 business days then please feel free to contact our office at (585) 275-3221 or toll free at (888) 822-2256. We are more than happy to check on the status of your materials to make sure every document you’ve submitted has arrived.

So between today and Saturday, finish up that last paragraph in your essay and put the stamp on your envelope. Materials must be postmarked by January 1st.

We wish you all the best of luck, Class of 2015.

We’ll see you in 2011 – Happy New Year!
