“What’ll be Your Space Jam,” Rochester? — Applying Kid President’s Philosophy

I first saw this video when every single one of my Facebook friends was posting this. I usually don’t watch every video on Facebook, but when this kept showing up, I couldn’t stop myself. I too got sucked into the world of Kid President.

Since then, his video has gone viral with more than six million views! That’s a big achievement for anyone. Check it out:

“The world needs to stop being boring. Being boring is easy . . . but you’re gooder than that.”

That’s when he had my rapt attention. Every now and then, you come across people who will change your world without you even realizing it. I’m guessing for many of us, Kid President (in his innocent, childlike, yet so serious pep talk) does exactly that. Sometimes, a little pep talk is all you need, just like he says.

I won’t say more; I’ll let him speak for himself. To all you students (yes, even the prospective ones), like Kid President/Robert Frost says: “Take the road less traveled” when you come across diverging paths. Don’t give up, don’t give in, dare to dream, and make something akin to Michael Jordan’s Space Jam so you can give the world a reason to smile.

“This is your time, this is our time,” so make the most of it when you come to college.
