(Still on) Winter Break!

For the first time since I can remember, I have more time than I know what to do with. I'm studying abroad in Buenos Aires next semester, but my program doesn't start until February 26, giving me more than two months of winter break! During the semester, I would give anything to have even an extra hour or two per week, but on break the endless free time is becoming boring, especially since nearly all of my friends from home have gone back to school at this point. My life at home has become pretty predictable, to the point where I spend the majority of my time doing only a handful of things:

1) Reading/ Watching things on Netflix: The biggest plus to having such a long break is that I finally get to catch up on all the things I've been meaning to read or watch. Until recently, I hadn't had time to read for fun since the summer! I literally just finished the Hunger Games trilogy, my latest obsession. (I even got my mom hooked!) As for Netflix, let's just say I've seen more episodes of How I Met Your Mother and Arrested Development recently than I like to admit….

2) Going to my youngest brother's basketball games: Even the away games. I've become one of Horseheads JV Boys' Basketball's most dedicated fans and a self-proclaimed concession-stand connoisseur.

3) Visiting/ Skyping with friends: I spent New Year's Eve in New York City with some friends from UR, spent a few days visiting one of my best friends (she goes to my old college, and we also went to part of high school together!), and visited Rochester last weekend. And whoever invented Skype is my hero, because I use it at least once or twice a week!

And that's it! Above all, I'm looking at this long break as a way to recharge after a crazy semester and prepare for my upcoming adventures in Argentina. Only three weeks to go! ðŸ™‚

Me and some friends in New York!
